Roman Lawson
Head Coach (10u/9u)
As a coach, I bring a wealth of football experience to my role, having competed at both the high school and Division 1 college levels.
During my high school years, I earned recognition as a four-year letterman, showcasing my dedication and talent on the field.
What I find most fulfilling about coaching is witnessing athletes refine their skills through hard work and dedication, ultimately achieving their goals.
My passion for coaching stems from the opportunity to guide and mentor athletes as they progress in their athletic journeys. With a commitment to excellence and a desire to see my players succeed, I am dedicated to making a positive impact both on and off the field.
Brandon Beeler
Offensive Coach (10u/9u)
One of the most rewarding aspects of coaching is cultivating meaningful relationships with athletes. Witnessing their development in self-confidence and teamwork towards a shared objective is immensely gratifying. Each athlete is distinct, necessitating individualized support to unlock their full potential, further reinforcing my dedication to forging these connections.
On a personal level, my passion for woodworking is a lesser-known aspect of my life.
My overarching objective for the young athletes I coach is to instill core values such as discipline, respect, and resilience through the medium of football. By instilling these qualities, they not only enhance their athletic abilities but also become valuable contributors to their communities and society as a whole.
Sherman Deshields
Defensive Coach (10u/9u)

As a passionate football coach, I thrive on educating and enhancing my players' football IQ, physical abilities, and mental toughness.
Beyond the field, I'm also a dedicated violinist, emphasizing the values of discipline and teamwork in all aspects of life.
My goal is to instill self-respect, respect for opponents, and a love for the game while equipping players with essential life skills to navigate adversity and success with grace and integrity.
Zach Miller
Offensive/Defensive Coach (8u/7u)
I have been coaching youth football for the past 4 years, completing a total of 7 seasons in both flag and tackle formats. Football has always been a huge part of my life, having played high school football in my hometown of Glasgow, KY. I love the game and am passionate about teaching it to young people.
My dedication extends beyond the field, as I am committed to making a positive impact on our youth in all aspects of their lives.
A fun fact about my coaching journey is that I have coached my son on 4 straight championship-winning teams. I look forward to continuing that streak with the Knights.
My coaching style emphasizes a hard-nosed defense combined with a clever offense that utilizes our team's strengths. My goal is to ensure our kids improve. The wins will come, but as long as we are becoming better players and teammates, we are winning.
Niel Martin
OL/DL Coach (10u/9u)
I have a rich football background, having played since I was about 4 years old in little league until my senior year of high school. Following graduation, I immersed myself in coaching football in and around Richmond for the past five years.
Coaching has become a passion of mine, and my favorite aspect is witnessing my players succeed. There's nothing more fulfilling than seeing them achieve their goals after putting in hard work. Witnessing a player's joy after achieving something great heartwarming moment for me.
Beyond football, I have a love for dogs, with two pitbulls named Nova and Red. Dog sitting and training them with new tricks brings me joy and relaxation.
My primary goal is growth. Regardless of wins or losses, my focus remains on their development as both players and individuals. Setting them up for a successful future is paramount, and fostering an environment of intentional growth ensures they become resilient and successful individuals in the future.
